Investigators say Alec Baldwin still hasn’t turned over his cellphone to police nearly a month after New Mexico authorities obtained a search warrant for it.
Police are investigating the fatal shooting of director Halyna Hutchins.
The Santa Fe Sheriff’s Office says they want the phone so that they can see what conversations Baldwin made before and after the incident but “to date, the cell phone has not been turned over to authorities.”
Last week, Baldwin denied he was not cooperating with the police.
Baldwin says New Mexico has to go through New York law enforcement and tell them exactly what they need and he said this can take some time.
“They can’t just go through your phone and take your photos, or your love letters to your wife, or what have you,” he said. “Any suggestion that I am not complying with requests or orders or demands or search warrants about my phone, that’s bullsh*t, that’s a lie.”
Why won’t he just hand over his phone?
