The video explores yearning for a partner that wronged you and questioning the validity of his past experiences.

Givēon has dropped a visual for his single “Stuck On You” off his newly released EP, When It’s All Said And Done.

The clip directed by Alexander Black begins with the singer-songwriter reflecting. Throughout the video, Givēon appears alone and eventually is seen with his beau as they share intimate, romantic moments. There are quite a few camera shots that capture the beauty of Southern California, offering a juxtaposition as arguments and disagreements find their way in the video. Other significant parts include getting a glimpse of the artist and his love interest on the Pacific Coast Highway.

As the visual continues, his voice becomes center stage as he expresses boldly about still being stuck on his former partner. When speaking on the video and the romantic moments captured on-screen, he shares, “I’m so excited to finally have a visual to match the sonics of this song. I wanted it to feel more like a film and less like a music video.”

Aesthetically, the video for “Stuck On You” is a bit different from the “Vanish” clip which arrived not too long ago. The latter explored the harsh realities of breakups, it featured a plethora of dark shots filled with shadows. The former has a lighter feel and is equipped with stunning shots marked by sunlight.

Beyond the elements captured on film, the video manages to speak for Givēon’s thoughts on yearning for a partner that once wronged him. Elements of the visual also capture what it’s like to question the toxic past you once had as you’re working on moving forward.

This new cinematic project releases on the heels of Givēon being announced as Apple Music’s latest Up Next artist. Apple also rolled out a short film exploring the artist’s rise to fame. The announcement followed When It’s All Said And Done being received well by his fans, it charted globally upon its release last Friday.
