Despite his retirement from the world of hip-hop following the release of No Pressure, Logic says he might have an unreleased mixtape to share with fans.

In the latest installment of his interview with Hard Knock TV’s Nick Huff Barili, the rapper talked extensively about his process when it comes to making beats. He then proceeded to play some unreleased material of him rapping over other people’s beats by the 29:00 mark of the interview, revealing that he has an entire mixtape in the vault.

“Yeah I was gonna do this mixtape where I rap on everybody’s beats,” he said, proceeding to play a snippet of him going over the beat for Polo G, Stunna 4 Vegas, and NLE Choppa’s “Go Stupid.” Shortly after playing the clip, Huff Barili joked that he would start a petition to have Logic release the tape, to which he responded, “I don’t know, I don’t think people want that.” Despite claiming there’s a lack of interest for such a tape, he then played a song that saw him rapping over Kendrick Lamar’s “Rigamortis.”

“You got all this music bro and you’re just gonna lock it up in a vault?” Huff Barili asked. “Yeah,” replied Logic, seemingly shrugging off the idea of releasing the tape. “Who gives a shit? … I don’t know, I don’t think anybody really wants a free mixtape with me… I like the idea of rapping on other people’s beats, because it was fun, brought a hunger in me,” he continued. “It was super fun to do, but I don’t know.”

When he was finally convinced that it could be a fun idea to release the tape, he agreed to release it if a petition could bring in one million signatures. “Fuck, what is happening,” he laughed when Huff Barili said he would start the petition. True to his word, the petition is now live on Change.org, with over 11,000 signatures already.
