West’s follow-up to Jesus Is King, Donda is slated to drop on Friday, July 24.
Late Monday evening, Kanye West unleashed a series of bizarre tweets attacking his wife Kim Kardashian, his mother-in-law Kris Jenner and countless others. The outlandish tweets followed his presidential rally in South Carolina.
The public commentary was a glimpse into West’s headspace. His Twitter rant also addressed his forthcoming Gap deal, Bill Cosby, Shia LeBeouf and Anna Wintour. One tweet reported by Complex read, “Everybody knows the movie Get Out is about me.”
Another read: “Kim was trying to fly to Wyoming with a doctor to lock me up like on the movie Get Out because I cried about saving my daughters life yesterday.” All of the tweets from Monday night have been deleted.
Unsurprisingly, West is also gearing up to release a new album, Donda, and has announced that it will drop on Friday, July 24. The 12-track playlist was shared today by the rapper on Twitter. The album was previously alleged to be titled God’s Country.
On the newly released Donda tracklist, “Wash Us in the Blood” doesn’t appear. This track arrived in June and featured Travis Scott with mixing from Dr. Dre according to Rolling Stone. We previously reported Arthur Jafa announced he was directing a video for the song. “Donda” another song which features West’s late mother is on the tracklist.
“New Body” an additional song that was reportedly slated for West’s Jesus Is King album is also on the tracklist. Nicki Minaj allegedly had a guest verse on one version. But, that version was cut “over creative differences,” per Pitchfork.
