Logic Announces Retirement, Final Album


The new Logic album will be executive-produced by No I.D.

Logic will be releasing one more album before he retires from the rap game.

Titled No Pressure, the album will be executive-produced by No I.D., and will be released on July 24. The artist took to social media to announce the new album.

“Officially announcing my retirement with the release of ‘No Pressure’ executive produced by No I.D. July 24th…,” Logic wrote in a caption for the announcement on Instagram. “It’s been a great decade. Now it’s time to be a great father.”

No Pressure is the sequel to the rapper’s 2014 album Under Pressure, and is the follow-up to 2019’s Confessions of a Dangerous Mind. The album featured a notable guest appearance from Will Smith on the track “Don’t Be Afraid To Be Different.”

Last year, the artist also faced some pushback for comments he made in regards to clearing samples.

“Just want to take a moment and say, Fuck sample clearence. Fuck clearing samples. Fuck people taking all a producers money for not doing shit and fuck the companies that say no just cuz. This is hip hop. I’m tired of replaying shit. Fuck the money. This why mixtapes was so good,” he said in the since-deleted tweet.
